Dallas kisses rating 8/10 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Summers in Dallas are scorchers, and we loved it coming from Seattle! With weather in the 90’s, and a mission to find the best proposal spots in town, we hopped in our car, blasted the AC and began exploring. The first thing you encounter when you get to Dallas is how friendly and welcoming everyone is here in Texas. Next, you find out that there are lots of hidden oasis’ in the city, and that is what we are going to share with you below! Below are our top 10 proposal spots and hangouts in Dallas!
1) Highland Park
With geese waddling around and and the long branches of the weeping willows dipping into the river, this is the perfect proposal spot for the hopeless (or hopeful) romantic. There are winding trails all along the river and we recommend bringing some crackers to feed the geese. While we were here we saw a couple get engaged, so now we are certain that it is the perfect spot.
2) Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens
The Dallas Arboretum is a beautiful park to spend the day, have lunch, explore the beautiful grounds and finish off with the perfect proposal! There are lots of places you could pop the question but we though the Koi Pond with waterfalls was the most beautiful of them all.
3) Crow Museum of Asian Art
Wandering the Crow Museum of Asian Art was one of our favorite activities when we were exploring Dallas. The exhibits are updated often and they have lots of great permanent installations as well, not to mention that the admission is free. This is the perfect proposal spot for those who appreciate the arts and like an intimate setting.
4) Marie Gabrielle’s Garden
This is a hidden oasis right in the heart of the city! Though it is a little tricky to find the entrance to the park, once you do find it you will most likely have the whole place to yourself. Play some giant checkers or chess, stroll through the park and then pick your perfect spot to pop the question!
5) Canopy by Hilton Rooftop Lounge
With the city on display, the Canopy Lounge is a great place to relax, have some cold drinks and contemplate the future. This is the perfect proposal spot for the fun, loving and spontaneous person.
6) Thanksgiving Square
This is a breathtaking church in the heart of the city surrounded by a beautiful park setting with running streams and waterfalls surrounding it. Come here for a little picnic and then make your way to the church which is open from 11am – 3pm everyday. While your best friend is looking up, enamored by the stained glass above her, you can get down on one knee ready to ask her the big question when she looks back down!
7) Dallas Waterfall Fountain
This is a another location that is beautiful, tranquil and right in the heart of the city! We love how the cascading fountains drown out the noise of the city and create serene atmosphere.
8) Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
Scenic, picturesque and romantic to say the least! Bring a picnic basket and go for a long walk down a winding meadow path that brings you to this beautiful lookout point.
9) Stonebridge Ranch Country Club
We thought it would only be appropriate to include this beautiful country club/golf course in our Dallas blog since so many Texans love to golf! This beautiful country club is surrounded by acres of perfectly manicured gardens and fairways and has beautiful castle-like club house.
10) Widow maker Trail Rides
Rounding out the list for Dallas is the perfect activity for all the adventurers folks out there, horseback riding! Though there are lots of options out here in the Dallas area, we especially loved this one because the tours are private and they go by a beautiful lake! So what are you waiting for, grab your girlfriend and giddy-up!
Where to Stay in Dallas, Texas
Where you stay makes all the difference here in Dallas! Things are very spread out so staying in the center of it all, close to shopping and restaurants was important to us.
AC Hotels Dallas Downtown
We stayed at the AC Hotel in Dallas and loved it! The rooms are well appointed with everything you need and the staff is very accommodating! We highly recommend you reserve a corner room and request it on a top floor before you get there.
